Finalising Zoo Developments

The end is finally in sight for our fantastic new developments here at Reaseheath Mini Zoo! The meerkats, porcupines and otters have settled in well to their new corner development. Our new classroom has almost been completed, just a few bits to finish, which also means our new display windows in reception and the hub are also pretty much complete – the plans for these spaces are coming together, so watch this space!

The aviaries are coming together nicely and we’re hoping to have access around them for the start of March, which will be the first time we’ve been able to do a full loop since last summer! The team have been meeting and sharing ideas and options for each enclosure, but once the builders have finished and the aviaries are completed from a construction point of view, it will then take some time to get the enclosures furnished, set-up and ready for their residents, so please bear with us in the meantime for that.

With all the construction work, coupled with winter weather, the zoo hasn’t been looking its best but we’re looking forward to spring, some sunshine and finishing construction work which will make a big difference!

Why not come and see us, and visit the farm at the same time for our Lambing and Zoo weekends at the start of March? Tickets available here: Lambing Weekend1,2,8,9 March – Reaseheath College
