Our animal encounters last up to 30 minutes on a one-to-one basis, giving you plenty of time to interact and even feed or groom your chosen animal.
With every booking you’ll receive admission to the zoo for those taking part plus one spectator, and a talk from an experienced zookeeper. Plus, book two weeks in advance and receive an optional voucher pack!
Please note that our animal’s well-being is our top priority, so it’s entirely up to them whether they wish to participate in the encounter.

Price
up to 30 minute encounter, from £40 per person (max 4 people per encounter). Capybara encounters = £80 per person.

Once you purchase your encounter, you will receive an automatic email with a link to our booking calendar so you can choose your preferred date. Experiences must be pre-paid and booked at least two weeks in advance. Each encounter runs on a set day and time each week, please double check the table below before booking:

You’ll receive one voucher for each animal you book an experience with, for a maximum of four participants – if you’d like separate vouchers for each person, please email us to request this.

Join us at Reaseheath Mini Zoo for an incredible opportunity to get hands-on and experience what it takes to be a zookeeper!
Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to work with our keeping team helping to look after a variety of animals at the zoo. Each day varies, so you could be helping our keepers clean, feed, enrich and even train the animals at Reaseheath Mini Zoo – this is your chance to get stuck in! As you will be spending time with our keepers, you can ask them any questions you may have about any of our animals.
